The Tuesday, September 9th meeting of the
Rocky Mountain Internet Users Group will
feature a panel discussion on City Sites,
including some of the key national players
(complete with deep pockets) entering the
local content market. Learn how these sites
are competing, what they offer the user,
what deals they are cutting with local companies,
how their revenue models work, and hear
it all directly from the people running
the show. Bring lots of questions and prepare
for an interesting evening of presentations
and Q&A.

The Tuesday, May 13th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG) will
feature a panel discussion on Email Publishing
and Marketing. Email is becoming increasingly
popular as a method of "push" technology
to get information to (possible) customers
... who often prefer this approach rather
than having to "pull" stuff from Web Pages.
However, despite that fact, unsolicited
(or so-call "junk") Emails sometimes gives
mass Emailings a bad name. The panelists
have figured out how to do it right, and
will share tips on how to get the message
out appropriately without annoying folks.
