| 04/11/95 RMIUG Meeting
- Cable television facilities for networks
For the April 11th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG), we
will feature a presentation by Jim Ginsburg
(ginsburg@gateway.meu.edu) of Jones
Interactive, a subsidiary of Jones Intercable.
His talk will be on the use of cable television
facilities for metro area networks, and
his company's Internet access trials via
cable.
IMPORTANT!! - PLEASE NOTE: This meeting
may fill up! We will issue tickets to people
that show up on a first come, first serve
basis. When we have reached the legal fire
code capacity of the room, no further people
can be admitted. Please show up early if
you would like to be guaranteed a seat.
We apologize in advance if you are not able
to be admitted. We are working on an alternate
RMIUG meeting place.
The meeting is Tuesday, April 11th from
7:00 - 9:00 pm (with optional 6:30 pm start
for informal networking and refreshments).
The meeting will be held at NCAR -- National
Center for Atmospheric Research -- in Boulder,
which is located (at 1850 Table Mesa Drive)
on the west end of Table Mesa Drive, up
the hill, right under the Flatirons. Park
in the NCAR lot, go in the main door, and
ask the guard to point you to meeting, which
is held in the main auditorium. There is
no cost for the meeting.
Thanks to Internet One of Boulder for
their continuing sponsorship of RMIUG refreshments.
Also, thanks to NCAR for use of the auditorium
in the Table Mesa Lab, and for the ongoing
assistance of the NCAR evening staff, Shelby
Pillow, and our new NCAR sponsor, Chuck
D'Ambra. We also appreciate the generous
help of XOR Network Engineering for maintaining
our online presence and mailing lists.
Consultants and companies are invited
to bring Internet-related product information,
brochures, and business cards which will
be displayed on an information table.
There is an email mailing list set up
for this group. General information can
be obtained by sending an Email to rmiug@rmiug.org
which will generate an auto-reply message
that tells you about the lists and how to
subscribe. You can also reach the RMIUG
"Executive" Committee at rmiug-comm@rmiug.org.
RMIUG'ers caught in a snowstorm! See pictures

of the avalanche the following day that
closed Berthoud Pass. Thanks to Alek and
Bryan for their help getting the pix online.
