12/13/94 RMIUG Meeting
- Sam Cassidy, Lt. Governor of the State
of Colorado
For the December 13th meeting of the Rocky
Mountain Internet Users Group (RMIUG), we
are honored to host the Lt. Governor of
the State of Colorado, Sam Cassidy. Mr.
Cassidy will be speaking on the state's
approach to the future of the Information
Highway. RMIUG would like to warmly thank
Ms. Francis Pool of Mr. Cassidy's office
and State Senator Lloyd Casey for their
gracious help in arranging this meeting.
Alek will also give us a brief overview/debrief
on the National Information Infrastructure
(NII) Summit held at CU Boulder on December
5th.
There will be a prize drawing for T-shirts,
sweatshirts, a fax modem, software, an Internet
membership Kit, and several books, compliments
of Ed Bidinotto, Capella Networking, Colorado
Internet Co-Op, Rocky Mountain Internet
Inc., Compatible Systems, and Hayes.
The meeting is Tuesday, December 13th
from 7:00 - 9:00 pm (with optional 6:30
pm start for informal networking and refreshments).
The meeting will be held at NCAR -- National
Center for Atmospheric Research -- in Boulder,
which is located (at 1850 Table Mesa Drive)
on the west end of Table Mesa Drive, up
the hill, right under the Flatirons. Park
in the NCAR lot, go in the main door, and
ask the guard to point you to meeting, which
is held in the auditorium. There is no cost
for the meeting. Thanks to Internet One
of Boulder for sponsoring refreshments.
Also, thanks to NCAR for use of the room
and thanks to XOR Network Engineering for
maintaining our online presence and mailing
lists.
Consultants and companies are invited
to bring Internet-related product information,
brochures, and business cards which will
be displayed on an information table.
There is close-in parking available at
NCAR for the physically challenged. For

Facilities.
